Welcome to Ballygown, a family run Restaurant on the Isle of Mull along the north-west coast of the island. Ballygown Cottage sits just back from the shoreline opposite the smaller island of Ulva and around 3 miles from Ulva Ferry itself.
Menus generally change daily. There are about 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings – generally a vegetarian, a fish and a meat option is available. We are happy to cater for vegans and gluten-free diets etc but need some notice. Unfortunately there is no children’s menu. We don’t have an alcohol license so bring any drinks you would like, including soft drinks. Take-away is available on some of the meals. Booking is advisable as there are only four tables.
We are CLOSED until October 23, when we reopen on Friday evenings only for the winter, or by request on any evening for groups of six or more.

There is a surcharge for more expensive mains e.g. fillet steak or lobster.
All pasta, cakes and puddings are homemade and bread is baked daily using organic flour. All meat comes from the island. All prawns, crab and lobsters are caught from the waters surrounding the island. Haggis is handmade here too!
